Meanwhile, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman teased “Spud,” a model he says can “really accelerate the economy,” while the company quietly shut down Sora and renamed its AGI deployment framework.
Claude can now control your Mac. Anthropic launched Computer Use for macOS, letting Claude navigate apps, click buttons, and complete multi-step workflows directly on your desktop. The company also dropped its long-context pricing premium, making 1M-token inputs available at standard rates while introducing peak-hour rate limits.
Shopify is betting big on agentic commerce. The platform unveiled agentic storefronts that let AI agents browse, compare, and purchase products on behalf of consumers. On the ad side, Google and YouTube launched Gemini-powered creator partnership matching to help brands find the right influencer collaborations using AI.
Yahoo Scout is turning inbox and search data into sponsored experiences with a new AI-powered ad format that blends personalization with commerce. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) adoption has hit 55% among marketers, according to Foundation’s latest research, signaling that optimizing for AI-generated search results is becoming standard practice.
Picsart launched an AI agent marketplace where creators can hire specialized AI assistants for design, editing, and content tasks. And ChatGPT’s revamped shopping experience is already showing strong click-through rates, pushing OpenAI deeper into product discovery and instant checkout.
